European Schoolnet submits proposals for a grant to European Association

European Schoolnet has responded to the call for a grant to European Association. The European Association grant purpose is to support the functioning of association active in the field of education and training. The EUN proposal requested financial support for three aspects of ongoing policy and practice work in strand 2 of the EUN Work Programme.

The first aspect is the preparation and publication of country reports on ICT in schools. The objective of this activity is to provide a high-quality up-to-date picture of the state of the art, issues and trends as regards policies on the use of ICT in schools in Europe.

The second aims to support for the work of the Policy and Innovation Committee in 2007 and three meetings to discuss and reflect on issues at the crossroads between e-learning and traditional education. Each meeting will be based on expert input and prepared papers followed by discussions by the committee members, bringing in their own experiences and expertise. Following the meeting the Chair together with the Executive Secretary co-ordinates the production of a 30 page booklet on the theme of the meeting.

The third aspect is to disseminate work on ICT in schools through online and offline activities, notably Insight (http://insight.eun.org) and the Insight blog (http://blog.eun.org/insight), and the dissemination of paper-based publications and on inputs to a range of meetings, events and workshops for different stakeholder groups.
