LIFE final session and Roadmap to eLearning Interoperability

The LIFE-project, an e-learning project focusing on interoperability, will hold its final session on 7 December 2006. The session takes place in conjunction with the EUN Round Table on ‘imagining the future of schooling’ on 7-8 December in Bruges. As one of the outcomes of the LIFE project a booklet will specially be produced for the event titled ‘A roadmap for interoperability in Europe’.
The session will focus on interoperability issues in different areas, such as learning content and repositories, accessibility, assessment, administration, learner information, and learning activity. More in particular the findings of the project, which are based on expert workshops in each of the area, will be presented and discussed with the participants. More in particular the session will discuss the way ahead. The main audience of the session will be the policy makers, industry representatives and academia.
The guide titled ‘A roadmap for interoperability in Europe’ to be published and presented at the event in Bruges is a report including a practitioner's guide to interoperability, and also include policy recommendations concerning the practical application of interoperability. The Roadmap to eLearning Interoperability is expected to come out in the beginning of 2007.
