eTwinning Professional Development Workshops in Brussels and Amsterdam

Two Professional Development workshops took place in February, one in Brussels on 8-10 and the other in Amsterdam on 19-21. In total, more than 140 teachers attended the two workshops. The workshop in Brussels had a cross curricular theme and the working language was French. The workshop in Amsterdam was for teachers of Social Sciences.

The Brussels workshop began with a social evening and reception in the Hotel de Ville in the Grand Place, which all the participants really appreciated. It was followed by two full days of workshops and partner finding exercises. The open address was given by Jean-Pierre Hubin, Administrateur général de l’enseignement et de la recherche scientifique du Ministère de la Communauté française

In Amsterdam, Jindra Divis from the European Platform of Dutch Education welcomed the participants and highlighted the central role of eTwinning in the new Life Long Learning Programme. Anne Gilleran and Christina Crawley introduced the eTwinning action and portal, and ran a series of workshops.

The two workshops were carried out by a team from the CSS, Anne Gilleran, Katerina Bararova, Christina Crawley and Sophie Vandeputte in Brussels and Anne Gilleran and Katerina Barorova in Amsterdam. 

the next Professional Development workshop, aimed at head teachers, will take place on 22-24 March in Dublin
