The final professional development workshop of the 2006/07 series took place in Tallinn, Estonia on 7-9 June 2007. 90 participants from 22 countries came together for this workshop aimed at teachers from primary school.
Enel Mägi, CEO of the Tiger leap Foundation, welcomed the participants and talked of the importance of eTwinning for teachers and pupils at primary level as it gives them the opportunity to broaden their pupils’ European horizons and extend their own professional development.
The participants enjoyed practical workshops over the two-day meeting and had the opportunity to networking with each other. Several new eTwinning projects were registered during the event.
On the afternoon of Friday 10 June all the participants took part in an eMapps game in the Estonia open air History Museum. This gave the participants the opportunity to explore not only the museum, but also the possibilities offered by the eMapps technology for development within an eTwinning project.
Representing the eTwinning Central Support Service, Anne Gilleran presented eTwinning in the context of education change in Europe, Christina Crawley and Sylvia Binger ran practical workshops on aspect of eTwinning including the advance use of the eTwinning Portal tools.
