European Schoolnet strengthens initiatives in content exchange
Author: EUN News
EUN experts recently attended two key meetings in the area of interoperability and content exchange: the EDRENE kick off meeting which took place on 11-13 June 2007 in Naples and the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning (EFQUEL) Open Seminar on 13 June 2007.
European Schoolnet was elected to the management board of the EDRENE project during a kick-off meeting which took place in Naples on 11-13 June 2007. EDRENE is a thematic network of educational repository providers, coordinated by UNI-C, Denmark. With 23 members from across Europe, the network aims to improve access to educational resources. It will focus on exchange of knowledge and best practice, in the areas of policy, standards, digital rights and management, standards and interoperability and more. The project will develop practical guidelines and recommendations, but the main aim is to form a cohesive network of key actors.
On 13 June 2007, EUN also attended the EFQUEL Open Seminar and general meeting of members. During these two meetings, which focused on exchange of knowledge in the field of quality strategies for eLearning, European Schoolnet was elected as a board member of EFQUEL, to represent the schools sector.
