Author: EUN News
The last chance to register for EMINENT is approaching and hotel rooms are filling fast. EMINENT takes place on 6-7 December 2007 in Brussels and you are invited to register and nominate the people in your organisation who you think should participate. This year's theme focuses on political priorities for education and the role of technology.
Conference topics covered in plenary and workshop sessions include:
- Global school networking: international exchange
- Ensuring equity and widespread e-skills and e-maturity
- Evidence-based practice: tools and practices that work
- Making mathematics, science and technology attractive
- Personalisation in practice: new tools and pedagogies
- Open educational content in the Learning Resource Exchange
- Emerging safety and responsible use issues in technology.
The programme and how to register is available on the site at http://eminent.eun.org.
Confirmed speakers at the conference include Ján Figel’, European Commission for Education, Culture and Youth who will be opening the two-day event. Other keynote speakers include Kathryn Mole (University of Canberra, Australia), Keith Kruger (Consortium for School Networking, United States), Johannes Klumpers (Head of Unit, Scientific Culture and Gender, European Commission), Roni Aviram (Ben Gurion University, Israel), Lex Stomp (Windesheim University, The Netherlands) and Kirsten Drotner (University of Southern Denmark).
Information, registration and the updated programme are available on the EMINENT portal at http://eminent.eun.org. We encourage you to book as soon as possible as there is limited availability at the conference as well as in hotels during the EMINENT week due to the European Council taking place the week after.
