Enter the Safer Internet Day 2008 Competition
Author: EUN News

For the third year, the Insafe network coordinated by European Schoolnet organises a European Safer Internet Day 2008 Competition. To enter the competition peers are invited to create a multimedia project related to internet safety issues.

Contestants are encouraged to work in groups and use their experience and creativity to illustrate online reality. The groups should fall into one of the following age categories: 5-10 years, 11-14 years, or 15-19 years. The competition is open to schools, leisure clubs, youth groups, training institutes etc.

Participants between the age of 5-10 are welcome to create material in electronic form that can be printed (posters, flyers, comic-strips, post-cards etc). The other two age categories should create audiovisual entries, for instance films, mobile movies, music/songs, video-clips and power-point presentations. To deliver a strong e-safety message it is advisable beforehand to think about who your targeting audience is. For example, would that be your peers or the elders?

If you wish to take part to the competition, send an email to your national Insafe awareness node with subject line “We will participate”. This is not a registration. Your notification will give us an idea of the number of participants and help us for the organization of the event.
