Spring Day 2006, Debating Our Future
Author: EUN News
Spring Day in Europe – the successful event to give schools a voice in the debate on Europe – will be organised also in 2006. The 2006 edition builds on the positive results and the demand from schools to continue the event. The theme for Spring Day 2006 will be "Debating our Future".
The event will once again bring schools and young people into the debate about Europe and provide a platform for them to make their voice heard in this debate.
The theme will open up a broad agenda of issues relevant for the young generation and at the heart of Plan D. The event will give them the opportunity to voice their views and concerns but also raise the awareness on how young European citizens can ally forces with the European institutions for a better dialogue and understanding of European democratic developments.
Networks of pedagogical advisors and representatives of Ministries of Education will help us reach the Spring Day 2006 goals. Members of all the EU institutions, as well as national, regional and local personalities will be invited to debate the future of Europe in schools on 21 March 2006.
