home > Media services > News > Odile de Chalendar - New chair of European Schoolnet Odile de Chalendar - new Chairperson of European Schoolnet At the meeting in Prague on 17 November 2004, the Steering Committee elected Odile de Chalendar of the French Ministry of Education and Research as its new chair replacing Lilla Voss. Vanessa Pitthard, Jan de Craemer, Jerzy Dalek and Zdenek Svoboda were elected as Vice-Chairs and form the EUN Presidium together with the Chairperson. Odile de Chalendar has been in the French Ministry of Education and Research in the ICT directorate since 1997. She has been involved in the computing business before. Her involvment in this area came from the possibilities of innovation that can be brought by the use of computers. She is heading for two years the IT in the international sector. She chaired the Policy Innovation Committee before being elected as Chairperson of EUN in Prague, on November 2004. She is also fond of photography and has chosen one of her picture to illustrate EUN's way of being the network of network.
