eLearning Awards takes off end of March
The eLearning portal will be launched in the last week of March, European Schoolnet is organising the event for the fifth year. Entries will start as of the last week of March until mid-October 2005, on the http://elearningawards.eun.org website, schools will be able to submit their projects for the competition.
Young Digital Poland is the Headline sponsor for the second consecutive year, last year more than 1,000 entries competed for the overall award of 'Best use of ICT in education'.
Last year’s competition awarded Highcliffe School in Dorset, the UK for their project, 'MyHighcliffe', a Web-based system that allows pupils to access information about their school life and academic progress.
The aim of the competition is to promote the use of ICT in education and to encourage schools to collaborate. On the http://elearningawards.eun.org site, the top 100 entries will be made available for schools to get examples of best practice. They are some of the best examples of ICT deployment in European schools and other education institutions.
The lucky winner will be announced at the gala ceremony which will take place this year in Paris, December 8, 2005.
