Safer internet stakeholders sign up for newsletter
Author: EUN News

The Insafe team published the second issue of its Safer Internet newsletter on 10 March 2005. The newsletter highlights safer Internet awareness-raising activities by national nodes, industry and other partners. It also endeavours to inform about emerging technologies and their associated risks.

The April issue, for example, will focus on mobile and wireless technology. The newsletter is published with the help of the national nodes, reporting on the particular challenges and efforts of the safer Internet community in their countries.

Anyone with an interest in safer Internet can sign up for the newsletter. Nearly 500 people have already done so and more subscribe every day. Many of the subscribers are active in promoting and acting for safer Internet, particularly among children and young people.

Insafe is the EU network of 17 national safer Internet awareness nodes, coordinated by European Schoolnet. It is supported by the European Commisison's Safer Internet Programme.

To subscribe to the newsletter, send an e-mail to insafe-news-request@eun.org with the word "subscribe" in the subject.
