New Release of the EUN Community
Author: EUN News

The EUN Community is a free online collaborative platform aimed at schools and institutions that want to set up and run cooperative online projects. Now in its seventh year running, the Community is currently comprised of more than 12,000 communities used by over 47,000 users.

Its success is due to its user-friendliness and versatility; its many tools such as forums, shared calendars, chats, internal mailboxes, file archives, link treasuries and a Bulletin Board are the most relevant in regards to online collaboration. Users can also create web pages through an online editor that allows them to then publish their pages on the Internet.

After months of work, a new release has just been put online. The new version includes an improved user interface, a new chat system, more streamlined graphics, less pop-up windows and a more efficient user management. Moreover, the whole back-end (the community engine) has been improved in order to guarantee better performance.

The EUN Community is used by schools in more than 50 countries, by teacher training institutions with up to 500 participants, and by projects and initiatives that require online workspaces to store documents, share information and communicate. The EUN Community receives nearly 1,000 user visits per day, therefore it is clearly a great success that is sure to continue and grow.
